Beyond the many activities at Chateau de Detilly, the Loire river also offers lots of opportunities for outdoor pursuits; cycling along its banks, boat trips, and plenty of riverside towns and villages to explore on foot; gastronomy is renowned in the region, and of course this is one of the most important wine producing regions of France and no holiday here would be complete without a visit to at least one 'cave'.
