  • 2 swimming pools
  • Large Kawasaki Mule to explore with

Designed and built by architect to the stars Arne Hasselqvist, Moana is located on the shore of L’Ansecoy Bay, Mustique, within almost touching distance of the shoreline’s crystal clear waters. Mustique is a private island, part of St Vincent and the Grenadines, one hundred miles west of Barbados. The villa is sheltered on a gentle rise and enveloped by lush green trees, matured tropical gardens and a beautiful courtyard. The sun-dappled pool terraces are shaded by palms and overlook the sea, which is just a five-minute walk away. Guests are required to fly into neighbouring St. Lucia or Barbados before taking a connecting 45-minute flight to Mustique.

Moana, Hawaiian for ocean, is an intimate two-bedroom hideaway that has been sumptuously curated throughout, with luxurious teak furnishings enhanced by a soothing white colour palette. The property offers one king-size room and a twin room, which is great for children. The accommodation is centred around a generous, airy living area, with a wood-panelled high ceiling and windows that capture the glistening bay waters. A splendid dining veranda beckons to one side, with a large family table and sun loungers positioned towards the dramatic island panorama. A garden path cutting through verdant foliage leads down to the inviting 36 foot swimming pool. Directly below, the adjoining second pool can be found nestled within a wooden deck, with nothing between you and the Caribbean Sea ahead.

Its picture-perfect geography makes Moana an immensely relaxing retreat, where you can’t help but unwind. While away the hours on the villa balcony, sipping a glass of crisp Chardonnay as you soak in the rays with a page-turning read. Enjoy the warmth of the sun on your skin as you lounge next to one of the pools, or head further afield to the fine white sands and inviting waters of L’Ansecoy Bay. For a more active day out, travel northeast where the swell creates an ideal spot for surfing and body-boarding.

Activities

There is an array of activites to try around the Island. There are many beaches to choose from on Mustique; Macaroni and Simplicity beaches situated on the north easterly side of the island offer more swell providing excellent surfing and body boarding, whilst Lagoon, Gelliceaux and Endeavour Bay beaches on the south westerly aspect of the island offer calmer waters more suited to snorkeling and paddle boarding, perfect for family swimming and picnicking.

There is an extensive range of watersports available on the island from scuba diving to snorkelling, and windsurfing to Hobie Cat sailing. Day trips visiting neighbouring islands are available by sail or power boats, by private charter or join an organized trip with options to snorkel, fish and to lunch on another island. Visit the stunning marine conservation park at Tobago Cays, a pristine group of uninhabited islands where you can picnic 'on location' where Johnny Depp was famously marooned in The Pirates of the Caribbean.
