Hotel Cordee des Alpes is a luxurious new hotel in the Swiss resort of Verbier from local hotel and restaurant entrepreneur Marcus Bratter, also responsible for launching Nevaï (Verbier’s first contemporary design hotel), the all-suite King’s Parc Hotel and après-ski hotspot The Farm Club.
The hotel is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and the 34 suites and rooms are an innovative mix of the best of old-school ski and new-school Swiss chic.
Wooden skis, canvas rucksacks, wooden ice axes, and leather climbing boots for Europe’s golden age of mountaineering decorate the walls, hand knotted Nepalese carpets adorn the walls, while stylish black and white etchings hang in the corridors.
Rooms come with plush interiors, en-suites and great technology - flat screen TVs, an iPad communicator, and free WiFi.
There’s also a spa with a 15m pool and treatment rooms, high-tech gym and sauna and steam rooms. The restaurant serves a gastronomic menu, while stylish bar is perfect for afternoon tea and cosy après ski.
