Cambodia’s first luxury private island resort, Song Saa, has launched helicopter transfers.
The direct helicopter transfer service will operate from the Sofitel Phnom Penh and Phnom Penh International Airport and is operated by Helicopter’s Cambodia, the country’s premier helicopter service.
The company’s highly trained Kiwi pilots have been providing specialist aerial services in Cambodia since 1998.
The resort can also be reached via a 35-minute luxury speedboat transfer from Sihanoukville Port, which is a 50-minute commercial flight or three-hour road transfer (in a luxury BMW 5 series vehicle) from Phnom Penh.
Song Saa Private Island itself is Cambodia’s most luxurious private island resort and has been named by Tatler as one of the ‘101 Best Hotels in the World’ and one of ‘the 60 best new hotels in the world’ by Condé Nast Traveller.
The resort covers the tiny islands of Koh Ouen and Koh Bong in Cambodia’s untouched Koh Rong archipelago, connected by a footbridge over a pristine marine reserve.
The name means ‘sweethearts’ in the Khmer language, and the resort is as a seductive and harmonious as the name suggests.
The resort has 27 luxury overwater, jungle and beach villas have been built with sustainable local materials and deep respect for the natural environment, each with its own plunge pool and ocean views.
A first-class restaurant and cocktail lounge are positioned just off the island’s shoreline surrounded by the sea.
