Located on Peninsula Papagayo, a private luxury residential resort sanctuary that juts out into the Pacific Ocean in Costa Rica's northwest province of Guanacaste. CieloMar focuses every view towards the sea, with the Pacific Ocean to the west and an Arnold Palmer golf course to the east. The vantage point of a promontory three hundred feet above sea level has created opportunities for dramatic architecture and structural finesse.
The wooden bridge, soaring above the jungle and ocean is the perfect spot for cocktails when the sun dips below the horizon. The olympic sized swimming pool lined with black lava stone flows over the edge of the terrace, creating the illusion of swimming three hundred feet above the sea.
The ‘bow and arrow’ design of the house affords complete privacy. Air conditioned interior spaces open to the ocean views, as well as a large exterior covered loggia that functions as an outdoor living room to enjoy Costa Rica’s mild climate. The super-panoramic vistas throughout the building have been achieved by curving the house in a semicircle around a radial point in front of the bridge.
Six bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms accommodate up to ten guests with two staff members. A unique feature of the master suite is a completely private, sunken zen garden with an outdoor shower. Fine linens provide splendid nights of rest.
During your stay at CieloMar, you will be just a five minute buggy ride to restaurants, shops, tennis, spa and beach club at the local luxury resort. Two golf buggies are provided to whizz you down to the beach below in 3 minutes or less. Beyond its unparalleled design, the CieloMar includes a home theater, a gym, a wet bar and two private studies.
