Villa Vigilio is a Liberty-style property dating back to the end of the 1800s.

It was built by an aristocratic family of Scottish barons, the Mildmay family, and has been in the hands of the present family since the 1950s. During its time, Villa Vigilio has seen a whole host of illustrious visitors pass through its doors: the King of Naples, Emperor Alexander of Russia, Prince Charles of England, Winston Churchill, the scientist Otto Hahn and the actors Laurence Olivier and Vivian Leigh to name but a few.

The villa sleeps up to 16 guests in four double bedrooms with breathtaking lake views on the first floor, and five bedrooms each with a private bathroom on the second floor. The enveloping peace and quiet are guaranteed to lull you into the deepest sleep.

The living areas are on the ground floor. The grand piano adds an air of flair and glamour. The formal dining room seats up to 16 guests or guests could choose to dine romantically by candlelight on the lakefront terrace and watch the sun go down. There is a fully equipped kitchen with plenty of preparation space including a panoramic breakfast table.
