Surrounded by the diverse Waterberg region and overlooking the Palala Valley lies Leobo Private Reserve, an 8000 hectare estate encompassing rugged rocks, bushveld savannah, natural streams and abundance of wildlife.

This remarkable house is state-of-the-art, with breath-taking views and the ultimate in luxury. Serviced by a butler, maid and chef, it also has a heated infinity pool, and a jacuzzi on the roof. There is an automated Observatory that is perfect for stargazing.

This magnificent, malaria-free destination provides the setting for an exclusive private house. A maximum of 9 people (6 adults, 3 children) can be accomodated across 4 luxury bedrooms. There are two master suites while a triple bunk room leads to a seperate guest room for a nanny; this self-contained nursery space has a seperate bathroom and kitchenette. Supplementary rooms for additional guests family or nannies are available at the lodge which has 8 Chalets and a 2-Bedroom Family Chalet. All bedrooms and bathrooms are luxurious spaces. Both main bathrooms have baths and showers and the master bedroom features an outdoor shower, Towels, slippers and robes are provided and all electrical outlets cater for appliances from the UK, South Africa and Europe. Each bedroom has a private safe.

The astounding expanse of the living area allow guests to enjoy an uninterrupted panorama. The veranda leads to a heated infinity pool which blends in beautifully with its natural surroundings. You can relax in comfortable sun beds and enjoys the best Arfica has to offer. The deck has a covered veranda where guests can unwind in front of an open fire in the evenings

Whether you are dining under the chandelier or relaxing in front of the fire, the open spaces are perfect for entertaining and relaxing. There is mezzanine level ideal for children which provides an entertainment space for TV or games, furnished with enormous cushions and fur throws.

Gourmet meals are created by our expert chef who cooks epicurean cuisine meeting every guest's preference and requirement. Fresh, local produce is used. A butler is also on hand to attend to all beverages and to administrate the household staff. The rate includes full use of all facilities of the reserve as well as chef, butler, food, drinks, wines and spirits. 

 Rate includes 1 hour a day use of Leobo’s AS350 B2 Squirrel Helicopter which seats 5 pax. Please note that the helicopter is based in Johannesburg and needs to be flown into Leobo. The helicopter transfers to and from Leobo therefore part of the hours allocated within the Helicopter Package. 

The reserve is perfect for adventure enthusiasts and includes kayaks, quad bikes, racing quad bikes, motor bikes, a polaris buggy, mountain bikes, electric camouflage golf buggy, game viewing vehicle, game ranger, rifles for target shooting and horses.

Minimum Booking Policy: We have a minimum booking period of 2 nights throughout the year apart from Christmas and New Year period where we require a minimum booking of 5 nights for bookings between 23rd Dec until 2nd Jan

Directions:

By Air:

There is a small landing strip on the reserve, suitable for light aircraft. 

It is also possible to arrive by helicopter. You can be collected from OR Tambo (Johannesburg International Airport) and flown to the lodge. A flight by helicopter takes about an hour depending on the wind.

By Road:

We can arrange road transfers based on the size of your party. This is a journey of approximately 3 hours

From Johanneshburg International Airport to Leobo Private Reserve:

As you come out of the airport car-park, move immediately into the left hand lane and take the R21 towards Pretoria. Drive for about 40 km and than take the N1 North to Pietersburg. Take the Kranskop Toll Gate and turn left towards Nylstoom/Modimolle onto the R33. Go straight through Nylstroom/Modimolle and continue on the R33 for 60 kms to Vaalwater. Once in  Vallwater turn right at the 4-way stop toward Melkrivier. After 24 kms turn right towards Strekstroom. At the t-junction turn left towards Olievenfontein. At the next t-junction turn left again towards Melkrivier. After a few kilometres you will see a small Leobo sign on your right hand side, close to the entrance gate
