Scone Palace has an exciting and colourful history as one of Scotland's most important stately homes.
Poised above the River Tay in Perthshire, Scone Palace overlooks the routes north to the Highlands and east through Strathmore to the coast. The Grampian mountains form a distant backdrop, and across the river stands the city of Perth. Scone Palace combines a unique heritage and stunning location with the services of a dedicated team of professionals.
All of the Palace State Rooms can be reserved exclusively for any event. A guided tour of the Palace will be included as part of your
evening if you wish it. Dinner may be served in the State Dining Room, which seats 12 to 24 persons. Recently open to the
market for exclusive use the Private Wing of Scone Palace combines The West Passage and the South Corridor.
Each Room has been individually styled and refurbished to reflect the traditions and stature of the Palace. They all look out over the Park and have views of the Tay. Further details of each room is available. The Balvaird Wing has an interconnecting door located at the end of the West Passage provides access to three further spacious double, en-suite rooms, a large sitting room with dining table and dining kitchen. The apartment is within what was originally known as the Tent Passage due to its prism-shaped ceiling. Having recently been renovated it is very well appointed and offers fresh, luxurious accommodation.
Fifteen hundred years ago it was the capital of the Picts. In the intervening centuries, it has been the seat of parliaments and the crowning place of the Kings of Scots, including Macbeth and Robert The Bruce. The Palace houses an outstanding collection of antiques, paintings and rare artefacts and the grounds are renowned throughout the world, making the stately home one of the most popular tourist attractions in both Perth and Scotland.
Located on the second floor in the North West aspect of the Palace, this beautifully appointed Balvaird wing provides 5 star, luxury accommodation in Scotland for up to 6 guests.
The Balvaird is an ideal base for golfing breaks, country sporting holidays, wedding parties and short and weekend breaks.
Relax in the comfortable sitting room with magnificent views over the Parks to the River Tay or take a tour of the Palace and explore the Grounds, just don't get lost in the magnificent Murray Star Maze!
